Watch: Occupation of Fortnum & Mason by UKuncut was peaceful

March 26, 2016 By amit chavan Leave a Comment

The media reports from yesterday regarding ‘violence’ by UKuncut supporters were inaccurate. A video from inside Fortnum and Mason clearly shows that the protest was peaceful, with activities such as chanting, singing, dancing, and putting up posters.

Although there was minor vandalism outside by unrelated individuals, it is important to note that no UKuncut protest has ever involved property destruction in the past.

The non-violent protesters are currently being released by the police. A demonstration against police treatment occurred earlier today in central London. Some protesters are still reportedly in custody.
