What camera data have to look?
The megapixels are important for a good image, but do not tell the whole story. They must be accompanied by a good sensor, a good lens, a good opening, image processing, etc … But with this I do not mean that megapixels are useless, far from it.
When looking at the specifications of a camera must look, too, at the maximum aperture that indicates the amount of light that can enter our sensor (f / 1.7 or f / 2.0). The size of this sensor influences, in turn, performance in conditions of poor visibility and better dynamic range. The lower the number that accompanies the “f” more openness is the camera.
P euro one of the most difficult features to check on paper is processing the image. This feature, important in digital cameras, which makes a device without large specifications in the photographic section, we produce better than other models of superior features photos. The image processor is responsible for reducing image noise, smoothing pixels, manage color filters in the photo diodes, etc … The best photo, in the end, will depend on the joint work of many components and the skill of the photographer; and chambers under conditions perform better than others.
High-end smartphones with better camera
The order of the factors does not alter the product, ie, any of these smartphones take exceptional photos.
1. Samsung Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge
Samsung has done it again, two new terminals are the first to bring the duo-pixel technology to a smartphone, unique in professional cameras. Its sensor is a Sony IMX260 (although other Samsung sensor runs through the world with little difference) with f / 1.7 and stabilizer. In practice, the duo-pixel technology to focus under good light conditions instantly, in an almost imperceptible time. It is truly impressive. The same is true in low light, the S7 captures more light than any other smartphone night.
The S7 brings a manual mode you can play with the ISO, aperture, white balance and others. This is especially useful for night photos, where the S7 automatic casts too yellow grain. The processing of the camera is great, respecting the scene without adding unnecessary grain or corrections.
The camera menu has been the level of the best, as it was in the Note 5. Of course, records video in 4K, slow motion, fast motion, and almost all useful options exist, forgetting those absurd modes They are flooding the S4 or S5 in his time. You can read more about the camera in our analysis S7 .
2. Sony Xperia Z5
Each line of Xperia Z line brings few changes over its predecessor, particularly because of the frequency with which Sony program each release. For the latest flagship of the company, the camera has been one of the aspects that most improved over the previous model.
The Xperia Z5 comes with a completely enhanced module with 23 megapixels in its main camera and Elmore RS sensor with a very fast auto focus that is capable of reacting in just 0.03 seconds. This phone is also capable of recording 4K video with continuous auto focus, so that not only takes great pictures, but is also capable of recording video of very high quality.
Sony has finally been able to make a smartphone with a camera capable of competing with the other terminals of the same price. Its quality is so high that the software company image processing DxO Labs has awarded the title of “best smartphone camera” of the moment, waiting to see what published on the S7.
3. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge + and Samsung Galaxy Note 5
As almost all other respects, these two phones have identical chambers. The sensor incorporating each of them is essentially the same as we have seen in the previous two flagships of the manufacturer, only with some enhanced features and new modes like ‘Collage Video’ and ‘Live Webcast’.
Both the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge + like the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 feature a 16 – megapixel main camera and a secondary 5 – megapixel. They have LED flash, auto focus and optical image stabilizer. Both cameras have an aperture of F / 1.9 and ability to record 4K.
What makes these terminals two of the best camera smartphones is also how easy it is to take good pictures with little effort. Automatic mode is able to take great pictures in any lighting conditions. I have personally used the Note 5 for many events Android Pit instead of carrying a professional camera because it makes exceptional photos in almost all conditions.
4. LG G4
The G4 was the king of this list until a few months ago, and is still a smartphone with a great camera. You can see a detailed review of it in our analysis of the LG G4 .
focal aperture of f / 1.8 on a 16MP sensor with OIS image stabilizer 2.0. also brings the laser approach already brought the LG G3 and a new sensor that improves color rendering. The G4 allows you to save images in RAW and record video up to 4K (2840×2160 pixels). If these specifications were not enough, the manual mode and the new camera interface leave you speechless. We are facing a camera 10.
5. Nexus 6P
Huawei has surprised us all very pleasantly surprised with the Nexus Prime produced by a Chinese manufacturer.Besides having Marshmallow and support for taking photos in format RAW , the aluminum design of this terminal is one of the best we’ve seen during 2015.
The main camera of the Nexus 6P offers 12.3 megapixel resolution are captured on a sensor size of 1 / 2.3-inch and 1.55 um pixel size. The focal lens aperture is f / 2.0 and features laser auto focus, plus a dual LED flash. The only drawback is that lacks optical image stabilizer, so better to lean on a firm place if you’re recording a video. Otherwise the quality is outstanding.
Smartphones medium or affordable range with good camera
1. Nexus 5X
Perhaps the last Nexus LG was somewhat disappointing overall, but has one of the best cameras seen on a Google phone. The reason? Its main sensor is identical to the other Nexus launched in 2015, Huawei 6P.
Therefore it has a maximum resolution of 12.3 megapixels. If the number does not seem impressive it is necessary to know that the pixel size is larger than that used in phones like the Galaxy S6 or iPhone 6. Capturing images is easy and is able to achieve good results in virtually any lighting condition.
2. Huawei G8
Huawei has been able to play your cards in the mid range and the G8 is the best example. A very balanced phone whose camera is precisely the main asset.
The phone is equipped with a main sensor and 13 megapixel camera selfies of 5. It has dual LED flash and an excellent HD mode that separate it from most mid – range smartphones. The results speak for themselves: sharpness and excellent color representation.
3. Xiaomi Mi4c
Probably the release of Xiaomi most successful year was the Mi4c . For just over 250 € this phone is capable of reaching (and sometimes even exceed) the level of specifications of high – end phones, and the camera is no exception.
A Sony IMX258 sensor and Samsung S5K3M2 up this phone, whose speed auto focusing is less than 0.1 seconds. The results get sharp images and color reproduction with nothing to envy the models that cost twice as much.
The rear camera Mi4c the Xiaomi is capable of taking images at a maximum resolution of 13 megapixels, while the front reaches 5 megapixels.
4. Ultra Sony Xperia C5
Available at a price of 359 €, the Xperia C5 Ultra is one of the latest additions to the mid – range Sony. The Japanese company used to install good sensors in almost all ranges. Something that is not surprising since the company is also aleader in photography.
What is striking about this phone is not only the main camera, but of selfies, which is probably the best of the moment. Both the rear and front sensor are able to capture photos at 13 megapixels, and both are accompanied by an LED flash. The video capture is performed at 1080p and 30 frames per second.
5. Moto X Play
Motorola equipped its three main models 2015 chambers considerably higher quality than one would expect for that price. The Moto X Play , which is currently available for about 345 €, it has a main 21 megapixel camera and a front 5 megapixel.
Capturing images is easy, although some will find it perhaps too simple. Its interface may seem strange and outdated at first, and the truth is that is not as complete as that of other phones, but the Moto X Play is able to take pictures of a far higher quality than most phone within the range of price between 300 and 400 euros.
